Japan Holiday July 2010

Tomoko, Joshua and I left for Japan on the 14th July 2010.

I stayed only for 1.5 Weeks, as I recently started work at Optus, and didn’t want to miss too much work. Tomoko and Josh have stayed back in Japan and will return on the 20th August.

I’m missing both of them, however, my new job (wich I love), is keeping me busy.

Time is Japan was fantastic. I really love my Japanese family. It was fantastic spending time with my father in Law, and mother in law, as well as my brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews. As well as my extended Japanese family.

Tomoko is having a great time, and so is Joshua.

I spoke to Tomoko tonight on the phone, and Joshua is being a little naughty! He is now almost 1 year and 2 months old, so I guess he’s at that age now where he wants to test those around him.

I had a great time in Japan, we had a family BBQ, went to Ibaraki’s Summer celebration, went to an Animal Safari Park, Trick Photo exhibition, saw a Military Air show, saw some of the countryside, went to Asahi’s Brewery, visited Tokyo and went shopping in Akihabara.

I’ve taken a few photos, however, Tomoko will have more to post when she gets back from Japan.

Joshua is now crawling like a marathon runner!

Little Joshua has started crawling in the last week. He’s at the point now where he can crawl quite comfortably around our dining room. We’re going to need to start “fencing” off the dining room now.

Dad passed away

Dad’s battle with brain cancer ended 3 weeks ago on the 1st sep 09. He passed away early in the morning from breathing difficulties.

His feuneral was held that following Friday and was attended by family, friends and loved ones.

Although increadbly sad for all who knew and loved him, this had been in the cards for some 13 months.

Finally he is at peace!

On a brighter front, little Joshua Morton is doing really well. Now 3 months old, I find it amazing how time has flown since his birth.

Both Tomoko and I love him so much. We are delighted to see him grow and develop every day.

His Aussie grandma loves visiting him every week.

We can all see a little bit of dad in Josh, and in a way, he is doing his part to relieve the pain of loosing dad. Sometimes in life, when one door closes, another door opens.

We are just all delighted that dad was able to meet his first grandchild prior to his passing.

We will miss you dad and will always love you!

Here is a photo of Dad when he was only 18 Years Of Age.

Dad has stopped eating

After 13 months, it now appears that dad is in his final stages. He has just stopped eating, and it again appears that after nursing him at home for the last 3 months, that he is going to have to return to the hospice.
